Bio
Dr. Booth Wilson’s work in film history and criticism has appeared in The Journal of Cinema and Media Studies, [in]Transition, Animation Journal, and Studies in Russian and Soviet Cinema. His book, The Cinema of Yakov Protazanov, forthcoming from Rutgers University Press, is the first career-length study in English of the work of a pioneering director of popular cinema in Russia during the revolutionary period. He previously held the position of assistant professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. He holds a PhD in Film from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
