Ariyele Ressler
Video Production Internship
Start date: Ongoing
Position Description:
I’m currently looking for an intern who is seeking experience working in a professional environment on a cooking show set (yum); wants to build their resume, take a shot at directing, and depending on the fit, creatively express their interest in film through this project.
The job requires you to:
arrive punctually on filming days, set up the cameras (white balance, exposure, etc), lights, and audio equipment (if you’re unfamiliar with how to run external audio with lavalier, i can teach you this), and shoot the day’s recipes and stories.
Ideally, you have a director’s eye and ear and are able to offer suggestions on pacing; ensure we get the (beautiful + functional) food shots we need; and collaborate efficiently and smoothly to film the material in an organized way.
Camera(s), memory cards, sound equipment, lighting, and props are all provided. When applicable, we’ll eat after shooting 🙂
There is opportunity for growth in this role.
Qualifications:
-knowledge of DSLR cameras (Canon preferred)
-basic knowledge of audio recording with external outputs (I can teach you this)
-experience working in the video medium
-fast learner
-serious worker with a sense of humor
-able to take direction
-excellent communication skills
-punctual
-organized around handling large files of footage
*Experience working with Final Cut Pro X is a plus, but not required. If candidate has experience editing, I plan to offer more hours of work.
