     Interlock Media, based in East Cambridge, MA, is a non-profit film company that is dedicated to promoting solutions to environmental and human rights challenges. We support informed empowerment at the grassroots and policy level by producing entertaining documentary and dramatic media works.

    We are seeking a talented, enthusiastic Audio Tech to forward our mission, gain tangible skills, and grow as member of a team. In this internship you will assist on projects nearing completion and projects under development. This is an excellent opportunity to gain audio engineering / sound design experience.

    Applicants should have some soundtrack design training/experience, and be proficient in Pro Tools, Audition or other audio program. An undergraduate or graduate degree in sound design/audio engineering is ideal but not required.

    We especially welcome individuals with a background or interest in filmmaking, animation, anthropology, environmental sciences, arts and business administration, and international development studies. An undergraduate or graduate degree in film/media is ideal but not required.

    It is preferable if applicants can bring in their own laptop computer.

    Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude are ideal. Applicant should possess the ability to work independently, remain flexible and take initiative in a resource-limited environment.

    For our part, we are dedicated to your hands on training and participation from day one, old school coaching style.

    Hours: Part-time, 20 hours per week

    Compensation: None, but school credits can be arranged.
