    Associate Producer

    Interlock Media, based in East Cambridge, MA, is a non-profit film company that is dedicated to promoting solutions to environmental and human rights challenges. We support informed empowerment at the grassroots and policy level by producing entertaining documentary and dramatic media works.

    We are seeking high-energy Associate Producers, both off-duty professional volunteers and emerging producers, seeking to take on various works in our robust production slate. We currently have multiple projects in the pre-production and production stages. As the Associate Producer you will participate in all aspects of a project’s lifecycle including: research, writing, coordination of crews and participation on shoots. Additionally, you will oversee and track the progress of post-production editing and the production of digital promotions, press, and publicity.

    This volunteer position is an excellent opportunity to hone leadership and project management skills.

    Qualifications: The ideal AP should have some actual experience and knowledge of film/video production. Hands-on experience in handling pre-production for remote shoots a definite plus. Experience on-set also a plus, as is familiarity and knowledge of the post-production workflow and production office protocol. You must have excellent communication skills, a desire to learn, and a proactive attitude.

    Experience in the following skill sets preferred, but not required:

    ● Research
    ● Strong writing skills
    ● Knowledge of film history/editing
    ● Leadership and coordination

    Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude are ideal. Applicant should possess the ability to work independently, remain flexible and take initiative in a resource-limited environment.

    Hours: A minimum of part-time, 20 hours per week, for an agreed upon duration. Full time is preferred.

    Compensation: None, but school credits can be arranged.
