    This hands-on digital video production course explores the process of making a narrative short. Students will write, pre-visualize, direct and edit three short films and crew on additional class projects. Scripts and cuts are presented in a workshop setting.

    Lecture topics include how to write an effective short script, pre-visualization, directing actors and camera, continuity and coverage, composition, sound design, lighting, editing esthetics.

    Prerequisites: Consent of instructor required. This class is open to juniors and seniors with production experience. Preference is given to Film & Media and Art Practice majors. Interested students should attend the first class session and be prepared to email a link of sample work.
