Lisa Wells Jacobson is a PhD candidate in Film & Media working on contemporary American, German, and Russian film and television. Her dissertation, "History On Demand: The Cold War as Serial Television," examines how recent Cold War TV dramas locate the origin of current on-demand digital streaming culture in the Cold War period. She received an MA in Rhetoric from UC Berkeley, as well as an MA (Research) in Art & Literature from Leiden University in the Netherlands and a BA from Brown University.
